ICI Paints is part of a star performance
ICI Paints has been heavily involved in West Kent Housing Association's cyclical maintenance programme, an area highlighted as a strong performer in the recent Audit Commission Inspection, which awarded West Kent three stars. The first top rating ever awarded to a housing association.
The partnering agreement, between West Kent Housing Association, Imperial Building and Painting Contractors and ICI Paints, incorporates a set of 'seven golden targets' of customer satisfaction; time, quality, cost compared to Value For Money, respect for people, value added and health & safety. The average tenant satisfaction rate for all forms of planned maintenance is high at 98 per cent.
The programme covers the maintenance of over 5,600 homes. As part of ICI Paints' involvement, specification representatives inspect the housing stock and propose best value paint system specifications in line with the housing association's requirements, which will deliver a high quality, durable finish. Coatings from the Dulux Trade Weathershield range are used extensively throughout the programme, as the superior protection offered by products such as Weathershield Smooth Masonry Paint and Weathershield Opaque AP (Advanced Protection) can allow maintenance cycles to be extended.
ICI Paints adds further value by developing coordinated colour ranges, from which tenants can choose the colour theme for the exterior of their home or communal areas. The consultative process is supported by bespoke colour cards and designed to make reaching a consensus amongst tenants as efficient as possible.
