Dulux Trade transforms Newham College of Further Education
Newham College of Further Education has called upon the expertise of the Dulux Trade Specifier Account Team for the redecoration of its Stratford Campus. The college was looking for a durable and sustainable painting solution that would convert its outdated dcor into a colourful and stimulating learning environment.
The Dulux Trade Specifier Account Team worked closely with the estates team at Newham College's Stratford Campus to recommend a colour specification that was on brief and on budget, and that would reduce the college's maintenance cycles, thereby saving the college money and minimising the environmental impact of the redecoration process. Newham College selected a contrasting colour scheme from the three options presented, resulting in a redecoration programme with which stakeholders, staff and students were all happy.
Colour was used in the college's communal areas to enliven and brighten the spaces, as well as in lecture rooms, where contrasting schemes were deployed to create dimension and extra interest. The college applied products from the Dulux Trade Diamond range, which is both ten times more durable and ten times more stain resistant than standard paints, as well as the new Dulux Trade 2010 Gloss and Undercoat, the first VOC legislation compliant solvent-based trim system on the market.
The Diamond range offers a breakthrough in coatings technology that offers outstanding performance and is proven to last for five years, withstanding heavy duty cleaning without losing its attractive matt finish. The range includes Dulux Trade Diamond Matt, Diamond Eggshell and Diamond Satinwood, and is available in the widest colour choice in the market, with over 10,000 to choose from. Dulux Trade 2010 High Gloss and 2010 Undercoat is currently available in white, with the full range of colours expected to be on the market during March 2009.
