Application information
- Coverage
- 3 coats of Pyroshield are normally required to achieve a combined coverage of 0.46m² per litre. Pyroshield Basecoat should be applied by roller to achieve a coverage of 1.4m² per litre, per coat. A 10L container of Pyroshield Basecoat from Dulux Trade should cover no more than 14m² per coat. It is critical for the flame retardant properties that this coverage is achieved.

System information
Pyroshield Basecoat from Dulux Trade is a low-hazard flame retardant basecoat, used as part of an approved system for upgrading the reaction to fire surface classification of existing internal finishes.
It is suitable for all plaster based interior wall and ceiling surfaces, which have been previously decorated with multiple layers of paint.
It is easy to apply straight from the can, and is water based for easy cleaning up. Apply 2 or 3 coats of Pyroshield Basecoat from Dulux Trade depending on the classification desired, achieving a combined coverage of 0.69 or 0.46m² per litre depending on number of coats. It is critical for the flame retardant properties that this coverage is achieved.
The thick film gives a slightly textured finish, which may be modified with appropriate texturing tools.
After use, remove as much paint as possible from equipment before cleaning with clean water.
